What’s Zille? When everything’s the same, it’s straightforward and doesn’t bother to be different. It borrows its name from the caricaturist Heinrich Zille, who turned heads in the 1930s when he dared to portray Berlin’s gambling, crime and sex scene to the noble society. Just as bold and different as the man it has its name from Zille becomes a statement to society: If you really want to do it, just do it, no matter how weird it may seem. It’s the will that moves mountains.

The car sharing service CAR2GO introduces its new fleet. TBWA hired The Marmalade to produce all animated media for its on- and offline campaign. After a first preroll, Henning Herholz and I were leading concept and production of all following videos. Primarily I was co-responsible for 2D and 3D animation.
The little startup KITTS & NEVIS gives you tropical vibes – with their delicious wraps! Handcrafted recipes, matching sauces and fresh vegetables, all rolled up in handmade tortillas. While they do take their food very serious and therefore pass on any E numbers, they’ve gone out to bring a smile on your face: Their parrot always has something sassy to say and you better don’t start arguing. Because, let’s face it, he’s a talkative guy and you wouldn’t like to spend your whole time with chit-chat if you could be eating a yummy wrap already!

t-online opens its Newsroom in Berlin with striking typography and bold animations. Central theme: Reach as many people as possible. A pixelated version of the iconic Berlin bear acts as the key visual. For even more impact, huge displays show abstract typographic visuals communicating the theme.

Frankfurt’s Städel museum expands its collection with a new underground gallery right next to its historic building. That’s 700 years of art at more than 7000 square meters. Time to let people know: „All you can see“ is the promise to its young audience. The unique „eye“ catching key visual is supported by guerrilla marketing, print and video content and brings it all together with an informative website and an entertaining photo contest.
The concept won Silver at the 19th GWA Junior Agency Awards.

The abstract mortar is the essential signet that unites the manufacturing origin of both worlds. Along with the logotype it serves as the synonym for one unified range of products. A small magazine with a book’s character. Multi-page articles are accompanied by multi-page photo series. „Stadt leben“ (city life/live city) does not try to be a city guide but rather a glimpse of what a town feels like. The first edition features a purely subjective take on Düsseldorf with old and new faces and places. We went to flea markets, met with long time locals, shot tons of photos and explored the city’s history with some supporting beers.
